About Dr. Marci
Dr. Marcia Oliveira, or as her patients call her "Dr. Marci", received her undergraduate degree from Trinity University with a major in Economics and a minor in chemistry in 1994. She graduated from medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio in 1999. Following medical school, she completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology from St. Paul Medical Center at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in 2002. After finishing residency, she began private practice in Dallas, Texas. She is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology with the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Marci enjoys her practice as a solo practioner; it allows for her to develop a closer relationship with her patients. Her special interests are minimally invasive surgery and high risk obstetrical care.
She received laporoscopic achievement awards while in her residency. Office interests include general obstetrics and gynecology from puberty to menopause. Special interests include endometriosis and vaginal/vulvar disorders.
Dr. Marci practices with all the specialists and generalists at Medical City Hospital in Dallas, a magnate hospital. She’s also associated with the medical school at St. Paul at the University of Texas Southwestern; this helps her to stay abreast of latest advances and research in women’s health care.
Dr. Oliveira enjoys traveling within the United States and abroad; She attends several international conferences a year around the world to enhance her knowledge. This allows her to also stay up to date with international and national advances in obstetrics and gynecology.
Additionally, Dr. Oliveira has enjoyed the special privilege of working and operating with her father, Dr. Wanderley Oliveira, who has practiced OBGYN since 1968.
